Robinson prides itself on being a great place for business opportunities. Several state and local incentives are available for companies wishing to take advantage of locating in Robinson. Enterprise Zone incentives, Tax Increment Financing Districts, and Community Development Loans are just a few of the benefits businesses can use to locate in Robinson.

Businesses benefit from nearby interstates and state highways. Located in the heart of the Midwest, Robinson is only three hours east of St. Louis, two hours west of Indianapolis, and 30 minutes south of Interstate 70. The city is also served by the Indiana Railroad Company and Illinois Central Railroad tracks with a spur in the Industrial Park. The Robinson Community Airport is a general aviation airport accomodating jets with a 5109 x 75 foot runway.

Currently, the City is in the preliminary stages of upgrading its wastewater treatment facility to accomodate additional industries in Robinson. There is also an abundant supply of traditional utilities such as water, natural gas, and electricity.

Robinson is home to Fortune 500 companies, Marathon Petroleum Company, Hershey Chocolate USA, and Dana Sealing Products Corporation, in addition to several other manufacturers. Robinson is primed to be at the forefront of business with a quality work force that is ready and able to ensure business success.

The City of Robinson also has two Tax Increment Financing Districts (TIF).  Grants are available once a year, with the application period beginning January 1st of each year, and ending February 28th.  For more information, contact the City Treasurer.
